Lots and Lots of Fruit

I've always loved this time of year and not because of the weather -- my favorite weather season is the fall.  I love this time of year because there is so much fresh fruit available.  During the winter months, it seems like bananas, apples, pears, and occasionally grapes are the only tasty fruits available.  Beginning with late April and continuing through the end of July, there are so many options for fresh fruit.  During the past week, I've enjoyed fresh strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, cherries, grapes, watermelon, and bananas.  I add fruit to my cereal, eat fruit salads for lunch or dinner, and snack on fruit at other times.  Even so, fruit remains in the refrigerator.  Both my parents and Jay's parents gave us a gallon of cherries this week, and I'm pretty sure we won't be able to eat all of them before they go bad.  I need to decide if it's worth freezing any of them.  If I had to choose a favorite fruit, it would be difficult; however, I'd probably go with blueberries.  I've already purchased a few pints from the grocery store this spring, but I'm really looking forward to getting some local berries during the next month.
